PRotect business critical processes with business continuity

Continuity planning is a method to ensure your business operations. With a developed program for business continuity your business will be able to deliver and have routines to quickly revert to normal activity after a disaster.

Continuity planning can be applied to all businesses, both public and private. There are a number of different models and tools to access. At the EMC roadshow IT NonStop we will be presenting a suitable program for a Swedish IT environment.

During the past years continuity planning has developed from an IT perspective to a wider and more holistic business standpoint. This means that you are no longer limited by systems and IT processes, you can have a more holistic perspective on business critical processes and individual parts. These processes affect personnel, systems, functions, products and services, that may exist internally or at external vendors.

Take a holistic approach

In August 2003 a huge power shortage affected North East US and Canada. 50 million people were affected. During the crisis it turned out that even companies who were prepared for big power shortages through their continuity plan still had a hard time maintaining operations despite investments in continuity sets and careful planning. The reason was that the relation with customers and subcontractors were deeply affected due to their lack of preparation. The story shows how complex todays society really is and how dependent we are on other stakeholders.
